Science Training Encouraging Peace (STEP)'s mission is to 1) fund tuition and stipends for pairs of Israeli and Palestinian science students in challenging and intensive academic, graduate-degree programs, 2) foster eduring relationships or respect, trust and professional interdependence between fellows, faculty and alumni, 3) spread the ethos of cooperative science to university laboratories and departments, 4) demonstrate how partnerships between Israelis and Palestinians advance prosperity and wellbring within communities, and 5) enhance leadership and service in the governments, communities, and societies where STEP Fellows live and work.
