Biography
Jeanne B. Ackman, MD, FACR is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, Thoracic Radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and faculty at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at MGH. Prior to these appointments, she performed general radiology in private practice for ten years. Her academic interests include Thoracic MRI and the thymus. She has written many research papers, review articles, and textbook chapters, lectures nationally and internationally in these subject areas, and is lead author of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria’s Imaging of Mediastinal Masses. She now serves on the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Expert Panel for Systemic Oncology. She has received many awards for her service as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
Dr. Ackman serves on multiple committees of the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG), including the Education Committee and Mediastinal Working Group. She also serves on The Pershing Square Foundation Advisory Board and the Prize Advisory Board of the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance. At Harvard, she is on the Harvard Medical School Global Health and Service Advisory Council.
